The rose plants in this group are densely branched, compact, vigorous, 1.2–1.5 m tall, sometimes reaching up to 2 m in height. The flowers vary in size, most often 8–12 cm in diameter, with different shapes and degrees of fullness, usually arranged in corymb-like clusters, 3–9 on one stem, in some cases also 10–15 or even more. Shrub roses are used in bed plantings together with floribunda roses, thanks to their similar growth and blooming habit. They are also suitable for group plantings in lawns and look good as specimen plants. The shrubs usually show their full splendour in the second or third year after planting.
