Lichtkonigin Lucia

Lichtkonigin Lucia Kordes, 1966

The popularity of Lichtkonigin Lucia continues to grow, which is unusual for a rose that has been on the market for so long.

Elongated, elegant buds open slowly, much like those of hybrid tea roses.

The buds have red-tipped petals and open slowly, again like hybrid tea roses.

The flowers are yellow, with beautiful golden stamens in the centre, and are slightly cup-shaped.

When they first open, the flowers are bright yellow or lemon-coloured, then they fade slightly.

They appear in clusters of 5-15 blooms.

The foliage is small, glossy and disease-resistant.

It starts flowering early; the first flush is very abundant, and even after that the bush is never without flowers until autumn.
