Pārsla

Pārsla Rieksta 1980.

An absolutely hardy variety that requires little maintenance. The buds are light pink; the flowers are snow-white, semi-double, large, open, cup-shaped, borne in numerous clusters of 3 to 15 or more blooms. The fragrance is pleasant and fresh. Flowering begins about 10–14 days earlier than in most similar hybrids, is abundant and long-lasting, and repeats. Does not produce hips. The shrubs are very thorny, tall, spreading and well-shaped. The foliage is very large, glossy and puckered, and is practically unaffected by diseases and pests. In autumn it turns golden. A very valuable and early variety for landscape compositions, specimen planting and flowering hedges.
