Mandarin

Mandarin Kordes, 1987.

An excellent small rose, variously described as a patio, miniature or polyantha rose. The flowers resemble small pompon dahlias and are beautifully coloured - a blend of raspberry pink, salmon and orange, with a paler centre, darker outer petals and yellow petal reverses. The overall impression is of tangerine or orange. The flowers appear singly or in small clusters and cover the plant from top to bottom. It is well set off by the dark, small, glossy foliage. The shrub is compact, vigorous, with a small number of long thorns. Without doubt, one of the most attractive low-growing roses.
