Description

Harkness, United Kingdom, 1977

One of the most popular roses in the world, yet there is still debate about whether this rose is pink or white, a hybrid tea or a floribunda.

In fact, the flowers are a beautiful pale pink in a cool climate and pure white in a hot climate.

At the beginning of summer, the flowers appear more often singly, but in the second flush - in large clusters.

Each individual flower is large and elegant, like those of a hybrid tea rose, opening from an elegant, classically shaped bud.

Later, the bud develops into a cup-shaped flower, like a floribunda, with red stamens in the centre.

If you look at the rose up close, you will see that it has grey pollen - a very unusual colour for a rose.

The petals are beautifully ruffled, which adds to the overall impression of grace, although in fact the petals are very substantial and resistant to rain.

The bush is tall, vigorous, graceful, upright, disease-resistant, with large, glossy foliage.
