Golden Years

Golden Years Harkness Great Britain, 1988

Golden Years has the qualities characteristic of the best Harkness roses: dark foliage, bright colouring and wavy petals that give the blooms a charming appearance.

They are pale orange, with golden and apricot tones.

Darker colouring on the reverse creates deep golden shadows between the petals even when the flower is fully open.

It holds its colour well in full sun and, although the blooms open wide, there are so many petals that the stamens are never visible.

Foliage dark green, glossy; shoots fairly thorny.

This variety is popular in Great Britain as a retirement gift.
