Description

Aspirin Rose Tantau, 1997.

A rose called Aspirin?

Bayer chose it to mark the centenary of the medicine.

An excellent low-growing rose suited to any situation – part floribunda, part miniature rose, part shrub rose or groundcover rose – and ideal for planting in a small garden as well as in large masses in the landscape.

Just as they open, especially in cool weather, the flowers have a pink tint in the centre.

Later they become pure, gleaming white.

They appear in huge quantities in clusters of 2–15, so that the whole bush is covered with flowers.

The petals fall well before they dry out and turn brown, so the bush always looks fresh and tidy.

The bush is well-shaped, dense, sometimes broader than tall, with neat foliage.

The variety is very disease resistant.
