Description

Schneewalzer Tantau, 1987.

This beautiful climbing rose is popular in Western Europe and Scandinavia. Schneewalzer has large flowers shaped like hybrid tea roses. When they first open, they are a very pale lemon with a pearly pink centre, later becoming pure white. They usually appear singly on long stems, sometimes 2-3 together. The shoots carrying the flowers are not stiff, but bend gracefully to the sides, and the flowers hang down so that they are clearly visible from below. The foliage is dark and disease-resistant, the shrub is vigorous and well-branched. The flowers are very double and appear almost continuously throughout the summer.
