Ilse Krohn Superior

Ilse Krohn Superior Kordes, 1964.

Ilse Krohn Superior is an interesting rose because it is a repeat-flowering climber. The buds are elongated, elegant, creamy white, with large petals; as the flower opens, it resembles a large hybrid tea rose. The open flowers are very double, the petals thick, waxy and glossy. In the centre there is a slight creamy yellow tint. The flowers appear singly or in small clusters of up to 3, slightly nodding. They tolerate rain well and combine beautifully with the dark, glossy green foliage. The variety is disease resistant, and the shoots arch gracefully.
