Description

Hydrangea paniculata

Limelight

is one of the best hydrangea varieties bred in the Netherlands, with dense flower heads of sterile flowers with a distinct greenish tint.

A variety with very strong shoots that hold very large greenish-white flower heads excellently.

It blooms from July to September on the current year's shoots with large, broadly conical flower heads (up to 25-30 cm), consisting almost entirely of sterile flowers.

The flowers are an interesting colour: at the beginning of flowering, in shade and in fertile soils they are greenish (lime-coloured), in sun pure white, and at the end of flowering they become lightly pink.

The flower heads are large, dense and elegant, suitable for dried bouquets and cutting.

The shrub is dense, more than 1.5 metres tall, and keeps its shape well throughout the blooming period.

Plant in partially shaded or sunny locations; fertile, moist soil is needed.

The leaves are slightly velvety, broad, green, with a pronounced lilac autumn colour.

The variety is very winter hardy
