Description

A fantastic Polish variety with cheerful, single, violet-white flowers facing upwards and to the sides. The name Clematis refers to the Latin motto (also Italian), which in Polish means "long live Poland". It blooms abundantly in June and July.

WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE: The flowers are medium-sized, 12-15 cm in diameter, single, violet-white, facing upwards and to the sides, composed of 6-8 elliptical, pointed sepals with slightly wavy margins, paling towards the centre and base, pinkish underneath, becoming lighter as they fade. The stamens on lemon filaments have purple-red anthers. Blooms abundantly VI˗VII. Flowers appear 0,3 m above the base. The leaves are simple, heart-shaped, sometimes with double indentations, ternate, composed of three elliptical, sharply pointed leaflets, which may also be notched, light green, matte.

HOW IT GROWS: climbs by means of leaf stalks. A compact variety reaching 2 m in height.
