Description

A low-growing but abundantly flowering variety with large, violet-blue flowers. It blooms from May to June and again from July to September. Hardy, recommended for every garden.

WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE: Flowers large, 17 cm in diameter, composed of 6–8 pointed, deep purple-blue sepals with a white stripe on the underside. The stamens on pink-white filaments have purple-violet anthers. Blooms abundantly in May–June on last year's shoots and less abundantly from July to IX on this year's shoots. Leaves ternate or single, brownish when young, later dark green. Leaves broadly lanceolate, with sharp tips.

HOW IT GROWS: climbs by means of leaf stalks. It grows moderately vigorously, reaching 2–2.5 m in height.
