A Polish variety with dark red flowers that are almost black at the beginning of blooming. One of the most popular varieties in the world. It blooms abundantly in June and repeats flowering, though less abundantly, in August and September. Recommended for small gardens.
WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE: Flowers large, 14 cm in diameter, velvety, dark red, almost black at the beginning of blooming, consisting of 6 elongated sepals. The stamens have yellow anthers on white filaments. Blooms abundantly in June and repeats, though less abundantly, in VIII-IX. Leaves simple or ternate, composed of oval to almost elliptical leaflets.
HOW IT GROWS: climbs using leaf stalks. Compact growth habit. It grows moderately vigorously, reaching 2 m in height.
