Description

An old variety with beautiful, large, bicoloured flowers - pale pink-lilac, with an intensely pink stripe in the middle of the sepals and red stamens. It flowers abundantly in May and June and again, though less heavily, from July to September. Recommended for both large and small gardens.

WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE: Flowers large, 15˗20 cm in diameter, made up of 6˗8 pale pink-lilac sepals with an intense pink stripe running through the centre. The stamens have red anthers on white filaments. Flowers abundantly in May-June on old shoots and again, but less abundantly, in July-IX on new shoots. Leaves compound, trifoliate, less often single.

HOW IT GROWS: climbs by means of leaf stalks. It grows moderately vigorously, reaching 2-3 m in height.
