Lubecker Rotspon

Lubecker Rotspon Tantau Germany, 1988

Lubecker Rotspon deep burgundy red.

An excellent low-growing floribunda.

The flowers are dark red, the same shade on both sides of the petals, later becoming almost black.

They are medium-sized, slightly cupped, with many small short petals.

They appear in clusters of 3–11 flowers (usually 5–7), and the petals fall cleanly after flowering.

The bush is low and neat, with beautiful dark green glossy foliage, and is very disease resistant.

It is one of the last to start flowering, but then blooms almost continuously until autumn.
